Join Us For Opera In The Park

Portland SummerFest is an annual event featuring free operatic performances performed in the beautiful outdoor setting of Washington Park Amphitheater as part of Portland Parks and Recreation’s annual Summer Festival. Portland SummerFest showcases singers of international stature. About half of the singers who have performed at SummerFest have been from, or trained in, Oregon. We provide a valuable venue for rising star-caliber talent. Many SummerFest alumni have gone on to major careers.

Audiences of all ages and backgrounds come to Washington Park to enjoy this unique contribution to the cultural life of Portland. Presented in concert format with full orchestra and lively narration, these concerts have introduced thousands of Portlanders to the world of opera and been avidly attended by a growing number of loyal fans.

Portland SummerFest is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation which is entirely dependent on donations to present free Opera in the Park each summer for the people of Portland and surrounding communities.
